Nets Take 3-1 Lead by Blowing Out Raptors

This one was over early. Halfway through the first quarter Sunday night at the Meadowlands, the Nets led by 10. By the end of the first, they were up 17. And it was 19 at halftime. Then, they really started to turn it on. The Nets started the third quarter on a 20-7 run to take their lead to 32 points. They led by as many as 33 and the entire fourth quarter was garbage time. They did it differently than they did in Game 3, though. On Friday, they scored 56 points in the paint. On Sunday, they did it from the perimeter, hitting a team playoff record 14 threes on 27 attempts. Vince Carter led all scorers with 27 points to go along with seven boards and seven assists. Jason Kidd finished two boards short of another triple-double without playing at all in the fourth, and Richard Jefferson added 23 points, with 16 coming in the third. The Nets will look to close out the series Tuesday in Toronto.
