Crunched Numbers Say Call Carter's Number in Crunchtime

Who's the best clutch performer in the NBA? A Brigham Young University statistics professor Shane Reese has crunched the numbers to come up with a clutch index factoring in six criteria, including shooting accuracy and fouls drawn, at the end of close games. The winner is no surprise: Dwayne Wade. But #2 is Vince Carter whose scoring average is 71% higher in the clutch than his overall average in a full game. Among the worst: Cliff Robinson, who during crunch time makes only 28.6% of his shots.
