Nets Recover From Ugly First Half to Beat Sixers

The Nets couldn't get much going offensively in the first 24 minutes at the Meadowlands Saturday night, in part due to Vince Carter being in foul trouble. Trailing the Sixers 39-34 at the break, Carter helped them turn things around in the third quarter, scoring 13 of his 19 points in the period as the Nets took the lead. A 16-4 run early in the fourth then put the game away. Clifford Robinson and Antoine Wright each played their strongest offensive games in a while, combining for 23 points off the bench. With the win the Nets moved into a tie with Orlando for seventh place in the East, holding the conference record tie-breaker.
