Carter, Nets Snatch Victory Away from Bobcats

It looked like another embarrassing defeat at the hands of one of the worst teams in the NBA (who happened to have five rotation players not in uniform). But then Vince Carter grabbed a Jason Kidd airball out of the air and threw it down over his head at the buzzer to send the Saturday night's game to overtime. The Nets then opened the extra period with an 11-4 run and cruised to a six-point victory. Carter led all scorers with 40 points on 13-of-20 shooting and Josh Boone played the best game of his career, scoring 21 points on a perfect 10-of-10 from the field. The Nets shot 53% from the field and recorded 35 assists (led by Kidd's 15) on 40 field goals. With the win, they moved into a tie for seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, RJ talked about his lack of touches and VC talked about where he might wind up next year, adding "I'll always be a Net".
