Nets Hand the Celtics Their 17th Straight Loss

The Nets took care of business like they were supposed to for the first time in a while, cruising to a comfortable victory in Boston Friday night. The Nets had double-digit leads early in both the first and second quarters, but the Celtics came back to tie the game both times. A 17-4 Nets run in the third gave them a 13-point cushion though, and Boston could not get closer than 10 points after that. Vince Carter led the Nets with 21 points on 7-of-17 from the floor and Jason Kidd came close to another triple-double, while Marcus Williams and Eddie House combined for 29 points and 10 boards off the bench. The Nets held the Celtics to just 35% from the floor.
