In an analysis of the misery that is the NBA's Atlantic Division, USA Today revisits all the Nets' faults, but buried in the story is a quote from Rod Thorn that should make Vince Carter fans happy. The Nets would like to hang on to him, if possible. "If you lose a player like Vince and don't get anything for him," Thorn says, "that would be a tough loss...We'd like to sign him if it's possible because he's still one of the best players." And the Grizzlies say Thorn did not offer Carter in a bid for Pau Gasol.
