Bruce Ratner says he wants Vince Carter and Jason Kidd to remain as Nets and added the team should re-sign Vince Carter. Carter can opt out of his contract and become a free agent in July. Both Rod Thorn and Carter have said they'd like it to happen, but money appears to be an issue. Not so, says Ratner: "If we have to go over the luxury tax, we’ll be over the luxury tax." Meanwhile, a Western Conference GM thinks Carter will cross the river this summer.
