Rod Thorn said it in the YES pregame: "We'd obviously like to sign him." Then, responding to Thorn's comments postgame, Vince Carter said it as well: "We're going to try to work it out. Hopefully I can be a Net for years to come." While Thorn has told the Post's Fred Kerber similar things, it was the most definitive comment Carter has made about his future with the team. At the All-Star Game, he wouldn't even comment on his plans. Meanwhile, the Bobcat owner talked about how much Carter might cost.
