Whether discussions regarding Jason Kidd and Vince Carter's future were ever serious, they now appear "stalled" less than 24 hours before the deadline, reports Sports Illustrated. Marty Burns of SI and Chris Sheridan of ESPN both say LA is still trying to make it work, but they are reluctant to give up Andrew Bynum. LA is now trying to find a reasonable facsimile elsewhere. As for Carter to the Magic, that deal appears dead at least until the summer. Meanwhile, the Nets are not happy with all the speculation.
