Rod Thorn has thrown a wet blanket on trade rumors, telling everyone from Chris Sheridan to Dave D'Alessandro that there's little chance he will swap anyone. The LA Times reports as well that a deal for Jason Kidd is unlikely. Still, in a sidelines report at the all-Star Game, TNT's David Aldridge said the Lakers are trying to involve the Trailblazers in a three-team deal to land Kidd. The bait? Jamal Magloire who the Nets have coveted. Aldridge didn't know if the Nets are interested. In interviews, Kidd reiterated he's always ready.
