Peter Vecsey, who first reported the trade that brought Jason Kidd to the Nets, is now reporting serious discussions between the Nets and Lakers about Kidd's exit. Throwing out names and draft picks that could be dealt, Vecsey says Kidd may be traded at the deadline as part of a rebuilding effort. Vecsey writes the Cavaliers are also interested. But the LA Times quotes Laker GM Mitch Kupchak as saying he's unlikely to make a deal at the deadline and the Cavs' interest seems centered on Mike Bibby.
