Jason Kidd talked to the media this afternoon and said that he was indeed sick Wednesday and would have played against the Knicks if he could. He denied being "on strike", saying: "I would never disrespect the game" or his teammates. He confirmed his agent is talking to Rod Thorn, but there was no outright rejection of a extension request. Thorn corroborated Kidd's story, but ESPN's Mark Broussard believes that either way, Kidd is not happy with the situation in New Jersey.
