Nets Handle LeBron-less Cavs

The Nets got their first comfortable victory of the season Tuesday night in Cleveland, holding the Cavs, who were without LeBron James, to just 35 percent shooting and cruising to a 21-point victory. Cleveland actually led by six early in the second quarter, but the Nets' big three got them back a four-point lead at the break. Then they opened the second half with a 9-0 run to take control. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 36 points on 11-of-18 from the floor and 13-of-15 from the line. Vince Carter tweaked his calf in the third quarter, but returned and finished with 19 points and seven assists, Jason Kidd was able to rest the entire fourth quarter and Jamaal Magloire actually played, scoring seven points and grabbing seven boards in 21 minutes of action.
