Al Iannazzone of The Record reports the Nets may appoint a replacement for Ed Stefanski in the coming days ... and two former NBA GM's are front-runners: Kiki Vanderweghe (left), formerly of the Nuggets, and John Gabriel, formerly of the Magic. Rick Sund of the Sonics apparently is out of the mix. It's uncertain whether the replacement will get Stefanski's GM title or become player personnel director.
