Nets Hold on to Beat Sixers

It wasn't exactly pretty, but the Nets recovered from Friday night's massacre by beating the Sixers in Philadelphia on Saturday. The game was pretty tight throughout, but the Nets took the lead for good midway through the third quarter. They led by 10 at the end of the period, but the Sixers closed to within two midway through the fourth. They had a chance to tie or take the lead on the next possession, but they never did and the Nets got key baskets from Antoine Wright and Jason Kidd down the stretch to hold on for a five-point victory. With 16 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, Kidd recorded his first triple-double of the season, his 50th as a Net and the 88th of his career. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting while remaining perfect from the free throw line.
