The latest power rankings reflect the obvious: when you lose five in a row, you drop. John Schuhmann of NBA.com has the Nets all the way down at #23, while Marc Stein has them at #21. Marty Burns of Sports Illustrated is the kindest, dropping the Nets only three places to #16. Everyone notes the loss of Vince Carter, but the bad things don't stop there. Schuhmann points out that while the Nets have the best assist to field goal ratio: 73.7%, they have the worst points per possession.
