The Nets announced Tuesday that they have waived Jumaine Jones. Jones had played in all three preseason games so far, scoring nine points and grabbing 15 boards in 53 total minutes. He reportedly is headed for Italy, where he has a contract waiting for him. The Nets will need to make three more cuts before next week's season opener.
