The news reports say Allan Houston pulled the plug on his comeback attempt before the Knicks' management could. Al Iannazzone isn't buying it. The Record writer says it looks more like a hit than a mercy killing and yet more evidence the Nets are the NBA's classy franchise in the New York area. Iannazzone and the Post's Fred Kerber say don't expect Houston to join the Nets. They would have to buy out Mile Ilic and that's not likely.
