Critics of Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards project--anchored by a new Nets arena--head to federal court in Brooklyn today to file papers against permitting condemnation of properties around the arena site. Ratner's lawyers have asked that the suit be dismissed but critics argue the city and state showed favoritism to Ratner in the process. Lawyers for both sides will be back in court January 19 for oral arguments.
