In the mayor's capital improvements budget released last week, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has quietly doubled the amount of city funds earmarked for Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards/Barclays Center project. The $205 million will go for city improvements around the new Nets arena. The state of New York has already earmarked $100 million for improvements. Critics see the increase as more pork for Ratner.
