The NBA coaches have the votes, but that isn't stopping the nation's basketball writers from offering their own advice on who should be named to the All-Star team's benches. Almost unanimously, the writers think that Jason Kidd should get one of the backup spots, citing his near triple-double averages. And some even suggest that two of the three or four guard spots go to the Nets. Reserves will be announced Thursday.
