Big Second Half Gets Nets to .500

It was a tale of two halves at the Meadowlands Saturday night. Stymied by the Orlando zone, the Nets shot just 34% in the first half and trailed by 10 at the break. After falling behind by 15 early in the third, they turned things around with a 17-3 run to make it a one-point game. It was tight until early in the fourth when the Nets put together a 16-2 run to take control. Vince Carter shot just 10-23 from the field and 1-6 from downtown, but led all scorers with 27 points, including two of his best highlights of the season...one the NBA Play of the Day. Eddie House caught fire in that second half and finished with 17 points and Boki Nachbar hit two big threes in the first run. Richard Jefferson wasn't exactly sharp, but got to the line 12 times, scoring 17 points and adding eight assists and Jason Kidd finished with 16, eight, seven and three. Meanwhile, Jason Collins and Cliff Robinson smothered Magic center Dwight Howard to the tune of a career-low one point on 0-6 from the field and five turnovers.
