After two years of vilifying Bruce Ratner, critics of the Nets' Brooklyn arena are now going after the arena's sponsor, Barclay's Bank, claiming it was founded with money from the slave trade, consorted with the Nazis to seize Jewish bank accounts, worked with South Africa's apartheid regime and helped finance Africa's devastating wars. The bank has explanations for all of it and today took out full page ads in local newspapers to trumpet its link to the Nets.
