Jerry Colangelo, head of USA Basketball, made the call yesterday that everyone expected he would: inviting Jason Kidd to join Team USA this summer. And the answer was yes. Kidd will fly to Las Vegas after the Nets season and work out with the team and then possibly play in the FIBA Americas tournament in Vegas this summer and in the Olympics in Beijing in 2008. Kidd won a gold at the 2000 Olympics and oh, by the way, he isn't on the trading block.
