Nets Hold Off Bobcats

Up 20 early in the fourth quarter, the Nets were looking at another comfortable victory Wednesday night in Charlotte. But the Bobcats made a charge, closing to within seven with a 13-0 run. That was as close as they got though, as Vince Carter then got a pair of key baskets to help the Nets get their seventh win in the last nine games. After a sluggish start, the Nets took the lead for good late in the first quarter and the second unit helped build it early in the second. Then the starters ended the half on a 16-3 run to take a 19-point lead into the break. All 10 Nets that played scored at least two points, with Carter leading all scorers with 26 on 12-of-22 from the field and Jason Kidd adding 17.
