Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune reports Monday on a conversation recounted to him by a Western Conference GM. In discussions with the Nets, the GM was first asked about his interest in Vince Carter, then to his surprise "the Nets asked him if there was interest in Jason Kidd." Kidd's divorce and the Nets' disappointing play could lead anywhere, reports Smith. Mike Kahn of FOX Sports thinks the Nets may be waiting to see how bad things get.
