Jay Williams officially joined the Nets and rejoined the NBA Thursday when the team announced that they had signed him to a contract. The 6'2" point guard also had an announcement: he will not be content to be the 15th man. He plans on battling Marcus Williams for the backup role at the point. The Plainfield native was physically devastated in a motorcycle accident three years ago. While Nets brass are rooting for the Plainfield native's comeback, no one will commit to his making the team...yet.
