Ratner Agrees to Lower Density at Atlantic Yards

In an effort to move his Atlantic Yards project forward, Bruce Ratner has agreed to cut the density at the Brooklyn development by 8%, as recommended by the City Planning Commission. While the reduction is not expected to satisfy the project's critics, it will provide at least the perception of a compromise his supporters can use to accelerate the approval process. The reduction won't effect the Nets' new arena.
