Planinic: 'I didn't want to spend more time on the bench...So I signed with Tau'

While calling his time with the Nets "positive" and saying he learned a lot from Jason Kidd, Zoran Planinic said he "wanted to play right away" and has signed with Spain's Tau Ceramica. Planinic told Diario de Alava, "Jason Kidd was on the team. He is one of the all-time best point guards". Planinic said he is excited about playing with Tau, particularly its two big men, Luis Scola and Tiago Splitter. Of Maccabi Tel Aviv, he said "the situation in Tel Aviv is kind of dangerous at the moment".
