Mr. Nice Guy

In a blog item prompted by Dave D'Alessandro's note that Vince Carter and his wife have begun divorce proceedings, freelance basketball writer Henry Abbott reprints an article on Carter that he wrote for Hoop Magazine a year ago. In the article, Carter and his high school coach discuss the contrast between his personality and that of Michael Jordan, whom everyone wanted Vince to be. It also tells of the impact Jason Kidd had on him in half a season with the Nets (at the time) and how Kidd takes the leadership pressure off his shoulders.
