Although politicians--including state Attorney General Elliott Spitzer and Senator Hillary Clinton--are asking that critics get more time to study Bruce Ratner's plans, the state development corporation is resisting and has called one public hearing to review the $4.2 billion Atlantic Yards plan. The hearing will be next Wednesday. Ratner is expected to get approvals, possibly with conditions, by year's end. The $550 million Nets arena would be built first.
