The big fear that Cavalier fans harbored the last week was that friendship would trump loyalty. Ohio papers noted that as they waited for Lebron James to make up his mind, fans were increasingly concerned James's friendship with Nets investor Jay-Z would ruin their dreams. Reports that the two had lunch last week fueled the concern. James agreed Saturday to sign the $80 million contract on Wednesday. He gave no reason for the delay in his statement.
