Crunchtime Approaches in Ilic Negotiations

Both the Record and a Serbian sports site report today that the Nets have competition for Mile Ilic, their 7'-2" draft choice now playing with Serbia's national team. The Record reports that several of its sources are reporting a number of top European teams have shown interest. SportskaCentrala, the Serbian site, identifies a Spanish club, Akasvayu Girona as the primary competition. The Nets, worried about a cluttered roster, have said they will make a decision this week. New Jersey is trying to buy out Jeff McInnis.
