Tamar Slay and Jamar Smith both left the Nets' summer league training camp Wednesday. Smith, the 6'-9" power forward out of Maryland, was signed to a training camp contract by the Spurs while Slay, the former Net, left for personal reasons. Meanwhile, Nets press spokesman Gary Sussman blogs that the Nets are increasingly pleased with the progress of Josh Boone, particularly his defense and ability to hit the offensive boards. Nets play Charlotte Thursday at 3 p.m.
