In what had to be one of biggest Draft Day shocks of the past several years, the Nets were able to pick up a lottery-quality player late, grabbing UConn point guard Marcus Williams at #22. Williams, ranked by some as the draft's sixth best overall player, fell to a surprised Nets war room. Off-court issues may have contributed to the fall, but the selection of Williams, teammate Josh Boone and swingman Hassan Adams of Arizona made for a satisfying night in Netland.
