In Rod We Trust

For the last five years, Nets fans have enjoyed the best of times. It's often called the "Jason Kidd Era". It might more appropriately be called the "Rod Thorn Era". It was Thorn, after all, who in one 12-hour period sealed a deal for Kidd and drafted Richard Jefferson. And it was Thorn who five months after the Kenyon Martin disaster picked up Vince Carter for next to nothing. It's no accident that the two GM's who Thorn dealt with on the Martin and Carter trades lost their jobs in the last three months.
