Although Rod Thorn has said "it would be difficult for him to walk down the streets of Belgrade" if he didn't play for Serbia's national team in Tokyo this summer, Nenad Krstic's status with the defending world champions is uncertain. In an interview, NT coach Dragan Sakota said Peja Stojakovic would definitely not play, adding with regard to Krstic and other NBA stars, "we'll have to wait a bit and see if they play in Japan". The team's roster will be submitted "shortly", and could also include Mile Ilic.
