Kidd and Carter Both Fall Short of All-NBA Honors

Jason Kidd and Vince Carter both received All-NBA consideration, but did not garner enough votes to earn Third Team honors. Carter finished eighth among guards (47 points) and Kidd finished ninth (20 points). Nenad Krstic also received five points in a system where five points are awarded for First Team votes, three for Second Team and one for Third Team. This is the second straight year in which Kidd has not made any team, after a six-year run on either the First (five times) or Second (once) team.
