Stats Say Kidd Should Be All-Defense...But Not Collins

Sometime in the next few days, the NBA will name its Defensive Player of the Year and its All-Defensive Team. has tried to beat them to the punch, selecting its team, based on a complicated set of stats. By their measurement, Jason Kidd deserves a berth on the first team, but Jason Collins gets only honorable mention. Kevin Pelton of 82games admits Collins should have won in past years, but his leg injury hurt his chances this year.
