On the day before the latest class of Basketball Hall of Famers is announced, Bill Simmons of ESPN opines on the state of the point guard, naming his top 10 of all time. Simmons put Jason Kidd at No. 9, ahead of Steve Nash but behind Gary Payton. Kidd, he writes, is "still playing well, which will move him up on this list if he can keep it going for 3-4 more years". Among the positives listed: "maybe the only person alive who could have salvaged Vince Carter's career".
