The Nets are back among the elite and it all starts with Jason Kidd. Kidd has made a remarkable recovery from his microfracture surgery of two years ago and Chris Carrino believes that this is the best the Nets have ever been in the Kidd-era. The point guard now has 75 triple-doubles, three behind Wilt Chamberlain for third on the all-time list. Normally, no one would suggest that the Nets captain could tie the NBA great in the next six games. But Kidd has two triple-doubles in the last three games and a schedule filled with teams for whom defense is only an option. And with his three three-pointers Sunday, Kidd now has 135 for the season, two more than his previous career high.
