While the Nets are only "a step above that mediocrity" that pervades the Eastern Confernece, Dave D'Alessandro has a "feeling they will pull themselves out of this". In his weekly audio chat, the Star-Ledger writer also says he does not see the Nets losing the Atlantic Division in spite of all their woes. D'Alessandro also talked about Zoran Planinic--"the coach lost faith in him"--and that while Vince Carter may be suffering from "shooter's ego", it's unfair to blame him for the team's problems.
