You remember the movie, "Groundhog Day": a Pittsburgh TV weatherman has to relive a winter's day over and over and over again til he gets it right. Well, Lawrence Frank and the Nets not only remember it. They are living it. A disturbing pattern has emerged in the nine games since the break. The team goes down early because of poor defense or poor bench play, then recovers and stages a late surge. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. For Frank, ending the nightmare has been elusive.
