Nets Beat Grizzlies to Make It 10 ... Again

The Nets continued their defensive dominance Wednesday night at the Meadowlands, holding the Memphis Grizzlies to just 74 points and extending their winning streak to 10 games. New Jersey started the game on fire offensively, making eight of their first nine shots and running out to a nine point lead after one. They turned up the defense in the second and extended their lead to 19 points at the half. It reached 23 early in the third and, although the Grizzlies made a bit of a run in the fourth, they could never cut it to single digits and the Nets won comfortably. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 27 points on an ultra-efficient 8-of-11 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Vince Carter added 23 points, Jason Kidd dished out 12 assists and Nenad Krstic contributed 14 points and eight boards. During the streak, the Nets have held their opponents to just 80.6 points per game and 38.8% shooting from the field.
