Drejer Explodes in Third Quarter, Bad Back and All

Troubled by a bad back all week, Nets' draft choice Christian Drejer couldn't do a thing in the first half Saturday, going scoreless and even missing four foul shots, a rarity for a player whose free throw percentage approaches 90%. Then, the 6'-9" shooting guard exploded, scoring 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting in the third quarter and finishing with 15. Drejer also grabbed 7 rebounds and handed out 2 assists in Virtus Bologna's 92-79 win in Italian League action.
