Nets Trade Jackson and Johnson to Hornets for Bostjan Nachbar

The Nets have dealt Marc Jackson and Linton Johnson III to the Hornets for forward Bostjan Nachbar. Nachbar, a 6'-9" Slovenian, is in his fifth season. He averages 5.0 ppg and 2.0 rpg, shooting only 34% from the floor. Reports indicate the deal was needed to reduce the Nets' payroll so they can sign Tim Thomas if and when the Bulls waive him. The Nets retain both their first round picks and also gain two trade exceptions, good for a year.
