Density Latest Rallying Cry for Ratner Foes

The increasingly well-organized opposition to Net owner Bruce Ratner's plans for a new Brooklyn arena and mini-city has seized on the project's density as its latest issue. The density, say critics, is equal to that of the city's plans for rebuilding on the World Trade Center site. Meanwhile, critics were happy to hear of the Nets' plans to extend their lease at Continental Airlines Arena. Delays cost money, with Ratner admitting that each month's delay costs him $4 million.
