The Nets almost certainly saved Robert "Tractor" Traylor's life last summer when an echocardiogram revealed he had an enlarged aorta and would require surgery. With no need to be reminded of the sudden deaths of Chris Collier of the Hawks at 28 and Yinka Dare formerly of the Nets at 32, the NBA may now require teams to use echocardiograms, something the Nets have long done. While expensive, it allows a doctor to study the size of the heart and the strength of the heart muscle.
