A New York State Supreme Court judge today ruled that Bruce Ratner is within his rights to begin demolition of five buildings at the site of his planned half-billion dollar Nets arena in Brooklyn. The arena has yet to be approved, but the judge, Carol Edmead, ruled that the demolition meets the law's definition of an "emergency action" and must be permitted.
