The Nets finished the year on a positive note, picking up their second straight win with a sharp performance against the Timberwolves at the Meadowlands Saturday night. Mikki Moore scored a career-high 20 points on a perfect 9-for-9 from the field and grabbed eight boards, five of them on the offensive end. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 23 points, while adding six boards and five assists, and the Nets got solid contributions from Eddie House (nine points) and Marcus Williams (seven assists) off the bench. After the teams traded leads early on, the Nets led the rest of the way and used a 16-6 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters to take control of the game. They shot 53% from the field on the night. Meanwhile, Fred Kerber reports the Bobcats want $1 million, a first round pick and Jeff McInnis for Melvin Ely.
